The IMPRS “Global Multiplicity” offers outstanding research opportunities in social and cultural anthropology and related disciplines for doctoral students from around the world who are investigating questions related to one of our three thematic focus areas:
  •     Economic Re-ordering
  •     Political Potentials
  •     Legal Complexity and Justice
Established in July 2023, the IMPRS is a structured doctoral training programme with mentorship by world-class scientists. It is a collaborative initiative of the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in Halle and three esteemed German universities: Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Leipzig University, and Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Our vibrant scientific community and academic environment provide the perfect setting for you to embark on your scholarly journey!
